Stressful/traumatic memory imprint
The memory imprint of your life’s stressful/traumatic experience will be stored within your mind as well as in the body itself. And this memory imprint will continue to pester you until it is heard.
The memory of distressing experience may be stored in any of the following areas of the system or, more likely, in all three:
(a) the limbic system at the centre of the brain
(b) the cerebellum and other related areas of the brain
(c) the body organs and the body tissue
This primitive mechanism has been in existence since the cave-dweller stalked the planet and is intended to help us to survive the upheavals of life.
Limbic system memory storage
The limbic system (unconscious mind) is that part of your mind which will regulate your emotive reactions to circumstances and, thereby, will be the main key to your psychological malaise. Painful experience, however, can usually be easily reached in the therapeutic context by accessing the limbic system with analytical hypnotherapy.
When the limbic system becomes over-loaded you will inevitably experience unpleasant and uncontrollable emotive reactions. The storage capacity at the centre of your brain, unfortunately, will be limited because the limbic system needs to be alert to danger every second of your life.
When the limbic system has been rendered unable to cope, of course, the storage of your upsetting memory may spill over into other areas of the brain and the body.
Brain complex memory storage
The cerebellum in the brain can store the impact of untoward events as an overspill from the limbic system.
The cerebellum controls your physical movement and co-ordination. If you find yourself repeating certain unwanted patterns of behaviour or being hampered by irritating habits, then it may well be that your past distress and suffering has been consigned to the cerebellum.
Physical system memory storage
The vital organs of the human organism, moreover, are very likely to bear the brunt of your troublesome experience particularly if your emotive memory has been consciously suppressed and/or unconsciously repressed.
Ill-health may, consequently, be the result of any unresolved anguish in your life as psychosomatic pain and suffering. The liver, for instance, will store suppressed anger because the outward expression of rage is considered to be rather unsociable. Unexpressed fears and guilt will, similarly, be stored in the kidneys when there is no natural outlet for this emotion. Unresolved grief will also be stored in the lungs.
Resolving your suffering
We are all genetically equipped and instinctively programmed to resolve suffering within the human system. And because we are herding animals, the ability to help others and be helped by another is an integral part of our survival instinct. If you find that your emotive pain is frequently be accompanied by physical illness, then the solution will be within your grasp.
The memory imprint of your agonising memory – whether residing in the limbic system, the brain or within your body – can be accessed, retrieved and resolved with analytical hypnotherapy.
Your psychological pain can be resolved via the limbic which can be directly accessed with the help of an analytical hypnotherapy practitioner who will utilise root-cause analysis and resolution rather than symptom-management. Your unwanted habits can usually be reached via the limbic system because there is a direct link from the cerebellum to the centre of the brain.
You may not be able to access your physical retention of traumatic memory – particularly that which is deeply buried in the vital organs – without first addressing psychological trauma held in the limbic system. If you require additional support for your physical malaise then it will perhaps be wise to consult a practitioner of other forms of natural medicine, such as nutritional therapy, homeopathy, Chinese medicine and other healing arts. Conventional medicine which employs suppressive and chemical drugs will, however, make your physical ill-health worse by preventing your body from naturally releasing your pent-up emotions.
